Ok so I took out my kenwood head unit I had in the sho for a bit to turn it back to the stock audio system, and after putting in the original head unit/cd player I realized that
1. I'm missing the wires to connect the HU to the CD player, does anyone know where I can get another?
2. With the radio or a tape on, if I turn the head unit to full volume I can barely hear any sound coming out of the speakers (but I can hear whats going on if I try super hard while the car's not moving)...speakers effectively cut off at half volume on the head unit.

Well first thing I did was look through some of the wiring to see if anything was messed up...amp turn on wire had been cut to splice into the aftermarket, which I had completely forgot about, so I stripped a little bit of both ends of the wire and reconnected the two pieces with a red butt connector, then plugged that into the HU, but still no deal. I then looked and saw that the wire located beside the cd player connection on the head unit (8 prong squarish adapter I believe) has a broken adapter...it still plugs in but the plastic piece is broken in such a manner that it exposes the wiring, but I don't think any of the wiring is actually broken....so there you have it, anyone have a clue how I can convince the system to start working again?

If you have a factory tape/slave CD system you have to have either the wiring to the CD player hooked up or a jumper plug in the 6 pin connection on the tape deck. The 6 pin connection is a preamp loop, in a pinch you can use 2 pin jumpers for computers to connect the audio out pins to the audio in pins.
