Aftermarket Amp Question

Hi everyone,

Is it possible to replace ONLY the 4 channel amp in the JBL system, and keep the sub amp working? I have a great Sony ES I wanted to put in to push some components, and the idea is to keep the head unit stock, while upgrading everything else. Thanks in advance...

it's possible, anything is possible, however you are going to have to figure out a way to get input signal into the stock sub amp, since it gets it's turn on and sub input from the 4 channel amp.

Thats what I figured... Does anyone know where the sub crossover is in the JBL system? Is it within the 4 channel amp, or is it within the sub amp itself?
