i removed my stock fogs, finally.

i had no luck on finding a replacement, auto zone, wal mart and kmart does not have a replacement for the 893 type bulbs and the frame. i will have to check pep boys or something.

i really dont want to do any rewiring, i want to keep the current setup. one of the brackets was mangled due to the rust.

anyone have any part # that i can refer to for some decent fog lights? i dont feel like spending $$$$$$ on a set of PIAAs....

Help?

You can get a set of Pilot fog/driving lights for $20 at Autozone...they're 55w H3 bulbs...fit well with a few washers as spacers and look nice, very bright!

My Hella Optilux model#2020, are very bright. I paid $37 for them with shipping. They have a switch that fits perfectly in the stock switch position. They also can be switched between a fog and driving light. The driving lights are extremely bright. And they fit nice in the bumper. I had to drill two holes in the metal frame where the stock foggies were. Well worth the 2 hour install time.

Xssho1, slosho, I got my BlazerTechs from this guy, [email protected]. He's had tons of these for sale on E-bay, take a look. I took out the factory mounting brackets, heavy as ****, and mounted these with no problems, they are bright and make a huge difference.

I have the PIAA 1500XTs and they're bright, very nice. I'd like some hids but the sho needs some attention and i've already got my piaa's.

word of advise: Don’t skimp when purchasing fog/driving lights!

p.s. i've got some piaa 1500xt driving NIB for those interested. don't worry, i'll anti up the dough for a classified ad if anything becomes of this...

Mark, Xssho1, that's the address I used to contact him last year, I'll check what the exact part# and description is and post it tonight. I know they're made by a company in Chicago so maybe they'll be easy to find. I need another set myself... thumbs_u

Thats probably because (if others are like me... shrug ) we pull the lights out of the packaging and get right to it installing them... and throw the packaging in the trash wink

NotsoslowSHO is right on the money; I destroyed the box that my BlazerTechs came in. I did find some info on the lights I was referring to in an earlier post, I have the SUV low profile 2600 lights in my '95, they have the aluminum body not plastic, and fit nicely. They're made in Franklin Park, IL. at the Federal-Mogul plant I believe. (old information) I know you can find them at Wal-Mart, Pep Boys, AutoZone, etc.

If you're going for looks I'd say go for the white ones. But if you really need to see through the fog I'd go amber or yellow bulbs and those aren't illegal.
