I have some that I got off ebay a while ago. I don't remember thier name, but I love them. They have 2 separate beams, a lower fog beam, and a higher drving beam. I can have one or the other on, or both at the same time. They also fit perfectly in the holes. Sorry I don't have anymore info on them.

I got some 3A fog lights and they look pretty good. Took a little bit to get them in but they fit nicely. I put in Nokia hyper whites to match my hyper white lights. They havent melted yet. Heres a picture not the best but still:

Alot of posters here have talked about Blazertech lamps as well. I don't have them personally, but I understand that they can be used in the factory brackets.

I have the Hella Optilux #2020's. They are a combo of fog/driving. They fit perfect in the stock holes, but you have to drill new holes for the brackets. Took me about 3 hours to install. And the new switch fits right into the stock switch hole- surprising coincedence.

If you look next to the steering wheel, you can see the red and yellow switch.

The rectangular genuine, not fake halogens with blue bulbs, HID driving lights offered by JC Whitney (who gets them from JF Manufacturing in City of Industry, Calif) are the BEST by far.
They look like they were made for the SHO, they are four times as bright as any halogen, they use about half the amps, there is no filament to wear out or break, the light is great color. And, though they are driving lights, they have a fog light type of pattern - horizontal, but with great distance! Come with a remote control. Super build quality too. Not cheap, but WOW!

No, the JF Manufacturing HIDswill not blind eyes anymore than fog lights do because of the low horizontal cut off, and the cut off is very sharp. I have them and this is not a problem. The light is a wide horizontal beam that is thrown much further than halogens, so you dont overdrive your lights, really feels a lot safer. Also, white light works better in the fog than yellow light, according to research.

Dave, the PIAA 930's are HID and clear "fog". If you found a solution to the headlight issue fantastic. I have been looking for something for quite a while. Can you post some pics from your setup? Also, where to purchase these lights that don't blind oncoming traffic?

I find it hard for almost any HID out there that is aftermarket not to be blinding, considering even my stock HID's in my TL-S tend to cause opposite traffic to high beam me.

Only way I see not to cause this, is to be basically defeat the whole purpose of HID's and there stronger light output and aim them real low to light up the ground in front of you.

i installed my set of blazertechs last week, and didnt see how i could've used stock brakets, unless it was a different model of blazertechs that could.

I'm looking at my Blazertechs now; trying to fit them in my '90. It looks like they will force fit into the plastic hole; the question is how hot do they get, will they burn or melt the plastic? Or did you mount them in back, which looks like a PITA to do?

Mike,
I haven't seen (or felt) the blazertechs get that hot yet as to melt plastic. They are rather efficient for the $20 pricetag. and YES you can use the factory brackets and just change out the housings themselves. You can even use all the factory wiring as well. Just strip it back and solder in the new connectors for the bulbs.

Jeremy you sure you're not a rep for Blazertech? That looks like a ringer for sure thumbs_u
Just kidding, of course. Is that all fog lights, not headlights? What a difference. Gives me more incentive to get them installed.

I was driving to the grocery store today and I saw a white Gen 2 with black 'SHO' lettering in the door, and as I drove by it I saw that it had about 3 or 4 sets of aftermarket lights in the front of the car. Also had custom wheels.
I wonder if he/she's on here at all?

Those lower beams were all fog lights...I haven't modded the stock lamps or bulbs at all outside of cleaning them up with high grade sand paper..you will like them a lot.. thumbs_u

I dont have pics on my HID driving lights. I bought them from JCWhitney. If you don't like them, just send them back, they will refund your money. They are made by JF Manufacturing in City of Industry (east of LA), California.
I have driven all over California mountains with them, Oregon, Washington. They have a wide horizontal beam, like good fog lights with an extremely sharp vertical cut off. There is NO light above the cut off, but there is LOTS of light ACROSS the road and DOWN the road. I no longer have that "overdriving my lights" feeling when I am going 80 mph through the mountains between Weed and Redding, California, for example. I simply aimed them so that the cut off was at about 30", aimed at a building about 10 yards away. They are better than I had hoped, so try them, return them if you no like. cant lose!
