I am replacing the timing belt, waterpump, front oil seal and crank sensor, the factory manual makes no mention of adjusting the new cranl sensor but i've been told to make sure and do it. What is the correct way to adjust it?

That is .030 as in inches between the sensor wheel vane and the sensor post.

Glen, after you remove the harmonic balancer and the timing covers you will see how it's set up. You don't gap the sensor like you would a sparkplug. On the crankshaft you will see the shutter wheel with 3 shutters that spin past the bottom of the sensor. You will gap the sensor from the shutters .030" with any gap measuring devise. There is one at Sears with a .030" measure on a plug style gapper for just a few bucks.
