Adaptive cruise issue

I have my show for three weeks. I have all the whistles and bells and love the car. However last night we had some slush and snow which covered the radar cover on the front. The adaptive cruise would not work because of the slush on the cover.I understand that but is there a way to make the cruise work without the radar? The cruise would not come on because it said the sensor was blocked.
