Accessory Belt tore off!

The accessory belt on my 93 ATX came off las night. It looks old and its shredded. When I went to check the pulleys the water pump pulley wobbles. Is it just loose or what?

Does the shaft move up and down wobble or the pulley wobble on the shaft? It could be loose too. Just check the bolts.

Probably time for a new water pump and serpentine belt.

Yes it does wobble and move up and down. I ordered a new pump today but I should definently check That first. It would be a big waste of time to replace it if its just loose. How do I hold it in place to tighten the bolts?

Time for that new pump.

I use a strap wrench to hold the pulley for tightening its mounting bolts.
