Thought I'd pass this on, not sure whether or not it's common knowledge...
When I replaced my WP/TB/CPS, I ran across a problem. The allen screw of the tension adjuster for the a/c was frozen. I unbolted it and worked on it at a vice in my shop.
Turned out that the allen head was stripped! I thought I was screwed and would have to find a new bracket/pulley/tensioner...then I discovered the soliution to my problem which amazed me.
In the bottom of the bolt head, in the center of the head, there was a pile of dirt i cleaned it out and found — a torx head!
For whatever reason they took the time to manufacture a torx head in the bottom of the allen head. So I was able to work it with a torx driver on my socket wrench.
Just thought it was something interesting. Any more secrets?
