Yes, it's hard and expensive to do.
I run slicks, drive shaft shop stage 5 axles, and a quaife in the tranny.
With this kind of power, and slicks, something will eventually break.
Last time I snapped the input shaft in half!

Before the stage 5 axles weren't you breaking stock axles all the time? Thought of this at one of the autox events I attended this year. A guy in an Integra was unloading tools ect and had a pair of spare axles incase he broke one. Reminded me of a vid you posted of you breaking an axle when you launched at the strip.

AREA 91, Well, I thought you couldn't be laying down numbers like that with any kind of stock Ford driveline parts. We run a '02 Trans Am Quick 8 car, 526 Keith Black on alcohol, if you've ever done Vegas you may have seen us with it. Guess I'll be racing 'till the reflexes start to go.

I've heard the axles referred to as trans fuses LOL, that may have been from you Area 91 at last year's convention.

I need to get some stage whatever axles, but with the new found traction I will have next year, I think I'd rather replace an axle over a transmission.
