The new AC compressor clutch drive did not solve my problem with its intermittent operation. I also replaced the AC clutch relay and diode in the power distribution panel, even though this was done previously. I now feel that the problem is in the wiring between the relay and AC clutch (or possibly prior to the relay). However, I cannot find a wiring diagram for the AC on the web to assist me in troubleshooting this problem. Does anyone have one or has information on where I can find one on the web?

The AC works when the engine is first started and cold, however, once it warms up, it shuts down. It typically will not work if the car is re-started when warm. The problem became worse after the clutch was replaced, suggesting that the problem is somewhere in the vicinity of the compressor. I believe that an almost broken wire is the problem, which provides continuity when cold, but not when hot.

Thanks in advance!

got one

I have a diagram I got from Paul (user SHOZ123) but I can't send it now since I'm at work. There was another user on here that had had AC problems, and they traced it down to a fried wire, though didn't say where exactly.

I'll send that diagram tonight if I remember.:nut:

You might could check the Justanswers site. They'll sometimes post scans from repair manuals (diagrams, assembly breakouts, etc.)

AC now Working All the time

Went back to the shop that installed the new AC clutch after doing some preliminary checks on the wiring at the AC compressor relay in the power distribution panel and found everything should be working whether the engine was cold or hot. They re-adjusted the air gap and now I have AC all of the time. No charge for the adjustment.
