I tried to use my AC for the first time this spring and of course, no cool. It worked fine last year, blew ice cold but now nothing. I thought it could be a leak and may need a recharge, but I think its something more. I left the AC running, and looked down and noticed the clutch kept engaging and disengaging. the AC would run for about 2 seconds and shut off for about 5. It constantly does this. Any ideas?

If I had enough hair on my head, I would have ripped it out by now.

Im a bit frustrated at how long I wasted my time trying to recharge this ac unit. Im obviously doing something wrong or using the wrong parts. So I went to pep boys and bought a recharge kit for dummies. I got home, read the instructions.....I found the valve on the engine, its by the radiator cap. I determined I use R134A since i have a 94. I opened the package and for whatever reason, the connector does not fit on the valve. So I either am trying to connect it to the wrong valve, or I dont have the right connector. Can someone help me?
