First, I dont own a Gen 3, I have a 94.

However, a coworker has a 98.

He read on the internet that the a/c units are trouble and blow mold into the cabin. I can't imagine this being true, but since I am visiting this part of the forum, thought I would ask.

Second, where on the west coast, i.e., near San Francisco can he has the cams welded? How much should he be looking at spending?

Third. The car misfires from time to time. The CPS and IAC module have been replaced along with some sensor down near the exhaust but not the O2 sensor. Ford repaird it for him based on codes ...yeah ... THe car has new wires and a fresh tune. Is this the coil failure I have heard about?

As you can tell, I know squat about Gen 3's. Feel like a noob all over again. :nut:

Thanks!
Anthony

Never had mold blown into my cabin.

He can check out "Folks who will weld your cams" on V8SHO.com for someone in the west there to weld him up

WHo did a fresh tune on it? What did they do? If he has new spark plug wires he has more problems with his V8SHO than anyone could ever help him with. When he got his tune up, did they replace the plugs? Were they gapped correctly? A misfire could very well be a coil pack going. Remember, the v8sho uses a COP system, so he has the potential for one of 8 packs to go bad.

Ford has done all of his work. A fresh tune is what he told me. He is bringing paperwork to me later on today or tomorrow so that I know more.

What is a COP system?

Thanks!

V8 SHO has no spark plug wires is what he's saying.
