this hasn't been something that i've really cared about for a while since i had so many other things to fix before but now it is time for the AC to be fixed... back when my dad still had the car about 2 years ago or so, he was using the defrost in the morning which comes out next to the window on top of the dash as we all know :) then later in the day it warmed up and he went to turn on the AC but it didn't come out from the front vents, it still came out from the defrost vents on the top of the dash and it doesn't matter which mode u put the EATC in, it will always come out of the defrost vents at the top. I've put in a new EATC since the problem started (mainly because the buttons on my old one were all pushed in, and in hope that it might for some odd reason solve the problem) but it didn't, so I'm wondering if anyone has any advice on what can be the problem here... thanks in advance :)

Had this problem before. I had a broken vacuum line under the hood that feeds the EATC. The EATC is made to stay on defrost if vaccum to the unit is lost. It was near the middle of the firewall.

awesome, thanks for the reply, just one last question, can it be reached from the top or do you have to go under to get at it?
