i am in the process of repairing my ac ( the copmpressor burned up) after repalcaing the compressor, reciever dryer etc and recharging it the ac does not work. i checked the fuses under the dash. all okay i dont have power to the compressor coil. i also replaced the iircm with another and still doesnot work. i checked for power at the cycleing switch and there is no power to the cycling switch. the wiring diagram on alldata shows the power coming from a source not listed on the diagram???? the car is a 1989 before april production. i have automatic air conditioning (kind of) does any one know if there is a fuse or relay that is not in the fuse block? i checked the power at th iircm and ac outputs the look okay have power???????any ideas

well if u got power at all other places besides the switch, then that is probably the source of your problem, I just had to replace mine.....

also you could be have too low of a pressure and its just not activating.... are you sure you know what your pressures are? you can take off this switch with the system still charged up so thats a good thing... its a tight squeeze, I know my aftermarket radiator left a couple scratches on my hand from this job, also some of them have an adjustment on it, but I only advise trying this if you know your pressures and can watch them while its running...

Did you replace the expansion valve (orifice tube)? When the compressor craps out, the orifice nearly always gets plugged and must be replaced prior to getting the a/c to work again.
