When you suspect that the compressor is acting up again, take the end of a broom handle and strike the front of the clutch. If it engages, you found your problem. I personally had to remove one of the shims on my compressor to make it work again.

Ah the good old ways... Hit it with something and see if it works lol

I will try that today

The stock clutch has 2 shims in there - one thin and one thick. If you open it up and find both, simply remove the thin one and you will have changed the gap enough to make it work fine.

btw, be careful when you pull it apart, as the shims have a tendency to fall out and land in some totally in-accessible place, causing you to use words that you should not use.....
