I recently got a soft warning that showed my ABS and Traction Control Light on with a warning. The code that came up was C0034-14. I replaced the Speed sensor with factory and I am still getting the warning occasionally. I am thinking there is a short or open circuit somewhere upstream. I did check the connector and wires for any sign of break and I didn't see anything. Any recommendations on how I can test to find out where the open circuit or short might be?

Thanks,

With the sensor disconnected checking for a short to ground is easy, assuming you have a multimeter and understand how to use it. Checking for an open will be a bit more challenging as it will require accessing the ABS module, which is not fun to get to, then unplugging it and checking for continuity at both ends.

If you have access to a professional grade scan tool you can monitor the Right Front wheel speed in the ABS datastream mode to see if it's reading sporadically or flatlined. And since you don't mention which sensor you replaced, please confirm you replaced the right front (passenger side front) sensor.

check the tone ring itself. many instances where that has been the actual culprit. if cracked you may be able to jbweld it. otherwise axle replacement is the only fix.
