Why would you do this? If your ABS is broken and you are sick of the light just pull the bulb.

Phil,

Does your wrecked Sable have ABS brakes? If it does you have a source of parts. You can check with an auto parts store and find out if the sensors are the same.

If they are the same, all you have to do is remove your bad sensor and replace it with one from the parts car. If this is the case, you should soak the sensor you want to remove with penetrating oil, such as "Liquid Wrench" or "PB Blaster", etc.

Clean off any visible rust or corrosion on the sensor first, then soak it with penetrating oil for several days.

Afer a few day of soaking, you should be able to remove the sensors with some gentle persuasion.

Disabling your ABS system is not a good idea. As stated previously, if the light bothers you remove the bulb. Then you can fix the ABS whenever you want to, and will not have to repair a lot of damage. rangerj

haha..if there is even any mild rust on them, they will not come out. BTDT

Splicing and wiring coaxial cable (ABS sensor) is not easy and very unreliable since the cable must curve and flex a lot. I'd get new sensors, or ask someone in a rust free state that is parting out a Taurus/Sable.

Good luck
Ian
