Okay you all probably know about the "unique" green 92 I just aquired. Anyhow there is a noise coming from the actual ABS unit itself. It does not go away and if I put my foot on the brake pedal it vibrates maybe like the ABS in engaged. It makes this noise whether or not the ignition is on and I unhooked the abs computer itself and it still does it. The car is not moving at the moment due to 2 flats and a wheel lock being on them so I am not even sure if the brakes work right now. Any ideas? I have checked multiple wires for corrosion and have not found any yet so I am trying to rule that out.
Thanks,

Does it sound like the ABS when it engages? If I were you I'd probably just replace the offending unit with one from a junk yard to see if it makes any difference.

Disconnect the ABS pump relay or the relay fuse. See what happens. If it solves the problem then your ABS relay is stuck in the contact position. Replace the relay to correct that, if it is the problem. rangerj

I already removed the fuse and tada! the ABS stopped engaging. I will be replacing that relay in a few days.

IS this the car that had spraypaint and everything on it? Are you attempting to resurrect it, or make sure what works and doesnt work before you part it out?

Is this to prove its a drivable car again, or just to tinker with something? I thought that car would be better suited as a parts car, lol.
