i replaced my rear calipers in the '94mtx and during manual bleeding my rotted out abs distribution "octapus" blew a leak or two.

since its discontinued from what i hear, and eastern canadian recycling yards aren't going to turn up great replacements i figured i can try to rig a replacement myself.

is the inside of the octapus completely hollow or are there chambers seperating or biasing certain lines?

there are two lines from the master right? would it hurt to take them and tee them seperatly to a pair of the other lines running into the block?

or should i just bypass abs completely somehow? i pulled abs fuse ages ago due to bad rings at hub and personal preferance.

so it's just a solid block connecting lines and then running each one straight through? what's the use then? have a firm mounting point?

anyways i decided to completely re-plumb my brake lines.. stripped out all abs equipment, t'd both master cylender outlets and ran primary to fronts and secondary to rears.. plugged off hose running to aux.fluid canniseter on abs pump and can now bleed braked in normal rear pass, rear driver, front pass and front driver sequence ;p

but i'm getting a check engine light as well as abs light.. anyone know if that's to be expected after leaving electrical plugs to pump disconnected?

maybe i forgot to plug some things back in will check tomorrow maybe.
