anyways in my last post i questioned why my 92 SHO is misfiring and sputtering on acceleration /w loss of power

one of the reason maybe these bosch spark plugs

i also just recently discovered a slice in one of my plug wires..will this be also causing the misfiring?

I know some people have had problems with aftermarket plug wires. Personally, when I replaced mine I did so with motorcraft with no problems thus far. (30K miles)

I think the consensus is that motorcraft and taylor plug wires work the best.

Although that slice in your ign.wire could be the problem, there are 100 other things it could be also.

Do you have a CE light?

I have had the AC Delco wires on my SHO and they fit and have worked well for 33k. Also, get those bosch plugs out and replace them with Motorcraft ones or the Autolite Platnum ones (what I run).

just checked my codes and the code 114 frequently came about (my IAT sensor out of range)

214 error in cylinder circuit or signal
spout circuit failure timing defaulted to 10 degress

519 psp circuit open

159-MAF is/was out of range[edit]

im gonna check again because it was to fast for me to get all the codes

Replace or fix the plug wire, that's obvious. I bought an 89 sho off an auction this summer......it ran like crap to begin with. After inspecting the plug wires, I noticed that 2 of them were cracked.........so I did the cheap thing and taped them up with elictrical tape. Guess what, the missfire went away, and she purrrs like a kitten now.
Cracked plug wire=missfire!

I used Bosch plugs for about 40,000 miles without any problems (at least that's what I thought). But when I replaced them recently with the Autolite Platinum plugs mentioned above, and new wires...wow, what a difference.
