I have my car all apart doing the clutch and the throw out bearing dont fit.has anyone run across this problem?ive checked to differant clutch kits from the same store and there both to small....but for some reason ford only lists one throwout bearing and i need one with a larger diamiter.

Exactly how much smaller is the TOB that you are getting vs the old one? For that matter, where are you getting your clutch kit from? It is highly recommended to at least use a Ford Rev B design, to reduce PP wear, if you aren't using a SHONut ceramic bearing. (there are some aftermarket brands that make a duplicate of the Ford design, for instance I am fairly certain that Federal-Mogul does.) FWIW, I would verify that the rest of the parts included are correct if this is a kit, too & don't forget the Loctite on your PP bolts!

i bought the clutch from autozone and it is the right cluth just the throw out bearing is to small........

The AZ kit doesn't come with a quill. I figured I'd be working on the tranny this summer anyway so I just put it on, it fits and is actually kind of loose on mine.

Maybe you have to take a quill tube off to get the TOB to fit??
