I probably should of thought of this earlier but

I believe you have to tell the computer about the added displacement. 3.0 to 3.3

Also will any spark adjustments have to be made with the bumped up compression? That's about all that I can think of that might need adjusting to decrease the risk of detonation.

In the few people that have 3.3 H/C one has a tuner and the other doesn't so I don't know if it really necessary.

Any suggestions would help thanks.

I don't know for sure, the more the computer knows the better. I know that if the engine can see no more than 200% load (atleast with my humble eec-tuner) so for boost over about 17 Psi i have to play with the engine displacment figure to keep it under 200%

sound like a wicked setup. is it running yet?

Since the final volumetric figure for our Wiseco-equipped 3.3's is closer to 3.26L, I typically pass an engine displacement value of 198.937 CID to all of my calibration files. FWIW, I also agree with Corey's point on this issue - the more you tell the EEC about the changes you've made, the better off you'll be in the long run.

Spark tuning tends to be a bit more involved (even for the "less advanced" X2J strategy) and can require a bit more work to get everything "just right". IIWM, I would start off with the factory spark tables and see what that nets you with regards to power, knocking, etc. If you find that the engine is knocking under certain conditions and/or you want to tune for a lower octane, then you'll have to consider spending some time with CalCon and the EEC Analyzer to help you make the appropriate adjustments ... ;)

Well I finally and I do mean finally have every thing done now and fixed. Tunning is next for me.. lol I have said that so many times. But it is next on my list now. I really do think tunning is going to help my car out a ton. I'm excited to see the numbers after it is tuned. But the tweecer still has me completely baffled. I wish I could drive to some ones house and they could show me how to do it and or just tune it for me. LOL I just don't trust me self. That and I don't want to destory my 3K motor.. proabbly more.. Adam you want to come up to Indy and tune for me??? Please.. Please.. LOL :hail: You would finally get to see and drive the sho... come on buddy... :thumb:

Did I hear somebody say "road trip"?

Do any of you 3.3 (HC or boosted) ATX guys have dyno sheet yet?
Like Brad, I have yet to dyno my new 3.3L setup (with or without boost). I hope to change this fact by Christmas time and show what a 9.25:1 CR 3.3L is capable of with 87 octane and no boost. I'll let Sean and/or Brad fulfill the role of the HC 3.3L ATX number supplier. ;)

"Less Advanced" - LOL.

I'll stick with Simple. It is a LOT easier to tune. :)
Perhaps ... though when it comes to tuning, I usually prefer the old adage "more is better".

So.... Adam when you going to come up to Indy? Like I said I will make it worth your while. lol
Once I've appeased certain members of the community with some overdue software updates, I may just do that ... ;)

Hey adam, let me get in on this! I'll drive a small distance, if needed. You can deliver some "+ re-location hood struts" for my baby's. I know I can improve on my 13.91 ET at 106 MPH.
