a short????

i had a problem sorta to your .........thier is a cylinder type of condensonder at the rear of the coil pack its hung on by a bracket i would check the wire comeing from this because i had my battery light come on on me and this had something to do with the recharge of the battery ......mine had a bad spot in the connector so i cut it out and spliced a wire inbetween.........after i did this the light went of and my brand new battery began to charge again........this might be the problem hope it helps????

well for an update i pulled on my starter wires and now i dont have my charging issue i dont know which wires it actually was but i wiggled all of them so now it works...what a pain in the ass that was but thanks everyone for trying to help i really appreciate it

I agree try a new plug. I replaced mine a while ago just as a precaution.

wow ive hadnt written here since feb. i found my problem my negative cable on my starter the insulation on it burned completely off and was arching against the metal frame...which was causing a short, it killed a cell in my battery, ruined my alt. and thats another reason my starter was sticking.....so i put some heat shrink around it, got a new alt and battery and havent had a problem yet

Your negative cable did this??? If a negative is shorting against the frame, it's just grounding out like a negative should. Are you sure it wasn't your positive??
