A Pillar Gaugepod Trim

I have a custom 2 pod A pillar im thinking of installing over the weekend. How much of a PITA is it to remove the A pillar trim? There is a tweeter and probably an airbag curtain in there. If anyone had done it, how much room do i have to run the gauge wiring with an airbag curtain in behind?

Although it's been some years, I don't recall an airbag curtain behind the '10 - '12 MY's.

I just pulled mine, up to the very dash - there is mucho room behind there - I read @bpd1151 post about tweeter having short wiring, and didnt need to fully remove. I too was worried about the airbag - it is protected sort of - just dont shove anything sharp in there. use plastic trim removal tools. TBH - after looking at the videos etc al, I just lifted up on the rubber trim, and pulled toward the steering wheel. then pop - got 2 of them to release.

If you have a bag in there, make sure to route the wires such that they don't restrict the air bag's ability to deploy.

To this point if i wreck the car im planning on going with it.

To reiterate, its my only car with working airbags… any other of the 5 cars i own ill go with it. Might as well be this car also

The pillars are easy to pull and have plenty of room. I ran my own tweeters, deeper than the factory with no issue. I would also second the wiring/airbags comment. You may plan on going with the car but it will take some work. 45 mph head-on against 45 mph totaled my first SHO (vs a 2500HD), hit hard enough to explode the battery and break the transmission case. I walked away after getting out on my own. It literally happened in front of a fire station and I was out and had done a walk around my car before they get there.
