Do you have any recommendations for replacing the trim below the windshield? I requested a quote from the dealer and was told they do not perform that particular task. I was told to find a body shop and ask for a quote. This reminds me of when the interior of my 2007 Explorer started falling from the front windshield, and the dealer told me to find a body shop, but I digress.

The black trim emanating from under the hood up to the windshield is disintegrating and looks horrible. I hoped Safelight could replace it, but I have had no luck with them in the Raleigh-Durham area. Any constructive advice would be welcomed.

Next week, I will ask about the sunshade in the back window, which has totally dispelled the myth that “what goes up must come down”…it won’t. The dealer could not find a part number to replace the motor for the back screen.

This will make it look better. Not perfect, but better. Follow the directions. Use it on any black plastic that has turned gray.

This shizzit is the bomb... used it on a car I given and used it all over the trim... looked brand new. It rained the next two days, never made a difference.

Jumping ahead here, if you're handy, you likely do not need a whole new sunshade but rather just a new microswitch that you should be able to source from a place like Digi-Key.

i just ordered one from Amazon. My weatherstripping is crumbling into nothing. It is $208 shipped. Tasca has them cheaper but their shipping is crazy expensive.
