I had an 1994 Taurus SHO, and also Swaped a MTX from a 1990 SHO, i had like 6 months whit the swap and the car feels totally diferent, now it runs Great.

Today also install the cams from the 90...

Well my question is which one it's better for my aplication, the ECP of the 1994 3.2L ATX or the ECP from the 1990 3.0 MTX ??

Sorry for my english, im trying to do my best

Thank's for your attention...

I think he means ECU. If the engine in there is a 3.2, I would stick with the ATX ECU and if it's a 3.0 I'd go with the '90 ECU. The ATX ECU will freak a little bit because of the lack of transmission, but the '90 ECU will have the wrong displacement programmed in and it will run badly.

I might be wrong. Others (who have actually done this) will know more.

oh...gotcha. i've got a 3.2 swap with the 3.0 cams runnin the computer that came with my 95 5 speed...XJ2 or X2J...one of the two. anywho, in the winter time, i tend to detune my car, and pulling the chip, while creating a small power loss, doesn't make the car run any worse. i'd run the computer off the 5 speed.

yes i mean the ECU, but in some part in the forum, like a dictionary you called that way... :)

And the car was a 1994 SHO ATX, then i Swaped a tranny from a 1990 SHO MTX, and the cams from the same SHO (1990 3.0) I'm still running whit the 3.2 ecu and for your comment i will leave it that way...

If i'm Wrong please tell me...
Thanks (sorry for my english i'm trying to do my best! )
