The Gen3 SHO badge says Taurus on it already in the "H". A black Gen3 badge would look good as the only rear emblum IMO .
I know it's hard to see in this pic, but this is the gen3 emblum on my '95 and it says "Taurus" in silver letters on the H.

The "Taurus" on the Gen 3 SHO badge can be spray painted over, and I'd do that anyway so that it'd match the body color. I assume they will have duplicolor paint available for it sometime...

looks good, however pics will turn out better in the correct light.

i agree that the car is ugly. and huge.. reminds me of the impala's and such of yesteryear.

as for the badge discussion. if anything i would debadge it. not add anything. i also think if you tinted the head/tail light (professionally) it would epic.

its a nice car all around, but really not my cup of tea.

I don't think they'll have a perfect match of tuxedo black because it has shards of real glass in it that make it sparkle so much. It's more than a metallic or pearl flake.

I would try to get all of the chrome done with a transparent black tint, so it looks more like black chrome. That would probably be a PIA though because you would have to take all of the trim off first to paint and it's pretty difficult to get paint to stick to chrome without having scuff it in some way, which would ruin the chrome anyways.

I guess that's why the metal flake in the Tuxedo Black has that rainbow look in bright sunlight, the glass flakes acts like a prism.

Could you use some clear and add some black to it to make the black transparent tint? I posed that question to buddy of mine that has a collision shop and he said it's feasible.

A friend of mine did this on his GSXR 1000. He sprayed the blinkers in the mirrors and the factory shield.

Black out the chrome on the grilles, side 'vents' and emblems. Gunmetal the silver grille bars and gunmetal on the inside of the headlight housings, and maybe gunmetal wheels, I think it'd be hot :dribble: What someone really needs to come out with is some filler panel for that strange indentation at the bottom of the trunk lid, make it look seamless with the bumper or at least a little more flush, that'd help set the back end off a little better, especially with the blacked out chrome pieces around the taillights.

Back in Feburary when I Met Earl the designer of the car I said all most the same thing.

The silver bars that dont match anything need to be black to match the lower grille, the the Chrome needs to be Body color like the SES Sports were back in the day. The Led Cornering light Housings too need to be painted body color too.

I started talking to a injection molder the other day, im making the side vents in a paintable surface and will say SHO instead of Taurus.. those will be out before summer.

Terry want to spend money? Go to your Ford dealer and buy NON SHO tail lights and the light bar on the trunk (not the spear though, but could be painted body color). They are Chrome delete and bolt right up. I did all the measureing at the ford plant when I was there on the Feburary release of the car. Earl Again wasnt all that happy when I had the two trunks up side be side to make sure they were the same and would bolt in.

If that isn't the sexiest thing.... Love the wheels and the tint. Makes me want my 2011 in Tuxedo Black to look the same. Don't worry, I'm in Canada, we won't see each-other on the road
