I am new to this site, but by no means new to these clubs. I am also a member of SCCoA, SuperCoupe Club of America.

I have a question that some of you may be able to help with. Upon the terms of me purchasing my 1996 SHO in Feburary, the compressor, evaporator, hoses etc. were replaced. The A/C worked fine until about a month ago. Now the compressor won't engage. Could it be that the clutch is b/o, power not getting to the compressor? Is there anything that I could do to trouble shoot the darn thing before I have to take it to the shop? The Micron filter being plugged wouldn't prevent it from working would it?

I would appreciate any ideas, and I thank you in advance.

There is a high and a low pressure switch. Both of these need to have continuity across and 12V+ at them before the clutch will engage.

Thanks, I'll check it out, is it right on top of the compressor?

Well both switches have power, and the compressor is still not coming on. I tried to put more R-134 in it, and everything else my simple mind could cook up. Is there a relay for the A/C anywhere that may be bad. I looked at the distrubition box under the hood, as well as the fuse panel inside, but could not locate one. Would it also be possible that the clutch is toast? If so what kind of a knuckle bustin', blood loosing job is that? Thanks again
