Well... she lasted 175K, guess i'm lucky...
I just drove my '93 SHO in a move to hot as **** Florida from San Francisco and the A/C worked wonderfully for the drive but took a dive on me within a week of being here...
Anyway, here's the problem.... I was driving with the A/C on and it started to blow hot air... Since then I've noticed that when I have the A/C on, no longer do I see a drop in RPM's (assuming that this drop previously meant the clutch was engaging the compressor). Additionally, I've found that when I have the A/C off, a steady "rattling" sound comes from the compressor area and that's basically it... It just doesn't seem to be engaging, and I'm hoping its the clutch and not the compressor... I really appreciate any help with this guys... thanks!

Mine just started doing the same thing. I'm almost positive it's my clutch, since my AC buddy told me my clutch looked like it was almost toast about a month ago. Sounds like you have the same problem.

On that note, I found this ac clutch on ebay: http://cgi.ebay.com
Can anybody verify that these are indeed what they appear to be and will work ok in my 95? Looks like a pretty good deal to me...

I've got the exact same problem. Rattling only at idle with AC off. Raise the RPM's or turn on ac, and the rattle stops. My fix....just gonna replace the whole damn compressor.
