Does anyone have pics from the Ford Manual of the A/C system (prefer PDF format)?

My stupid chiltons says take it to a qualified repair shop. :snicker: Before I work on it, I want to make sure that what I am looking at "IS" what I think I am looking at.

A/C Diagrams

I have the Ford Service manual which I believe includes the A/C I will dig through it and if it does I can put that section in PDF if you wish. Give me a couple of days. If you wish to contact me direct, fell free at [email protected].

Another question. Is the filter part of the Drier/Acumulator? Seperate? No filter? Looking at the pics shown on Parts websites, it is difficult to descern if it is just a universal pic or the actual items. Man I really need to invest in some Ford manuals. That would simplify everything.

Cool.

Just a thought, if you have time, you could Share the whole CD with me. ;)

Here is what I have so far for the SHO. I have the A/C info and it is about 160 pages so it will take me a bit to scan it all into PDF. I wish I had it all on CD but it is all in book format. I have been converting it to PDF in my spare time. If you can wait till this time next week I should have the A/C section done. If I get it done sooner I will be sure to let you know.

Here is the link to what I have so far. Feel free to download what ever you need. The PDF files are in the ZIP files located here. You can also download Winzip Demo and Adobe PDF reader here as well.

The accumulator/drier has a deccadent material inside of it. It IS the filter. Hope this helps.

I thought so, but Advance auto listed an inline filter for the SHO. Is it an add on for extra protection?

Pick of filter

Gurucomputers, thanks for the link for the manual pieces you already have done. If you could just scan the page with the exploded view of the whole system that would work. I just want to make sure I am looking at the right parts and their names.

Hello, I haven't looked at my AC system on my SHO all i know is it doesn't work, on to your question, if there is a in-line filter on your sho it will be in the high-pressure line the "small diameter line " usually at the evaporator outlet right before the line connector that filter protects debris form getting to your compressor and when changing your reciever drier you should change your filter especially if you had compressor problems, some people remove the filters and never replace them, a pair of needle nose plyers will come in handy, oh i looked in my Mitchell on-demand 5 dvd and there wasn't any pictures of the SHO system, hope this helps , any parts place that carries
AC components can help you. good luck Vince
