98 motor

Hey guys, in my search for the 3.2 I came across a salvage yard out here that has a low mileage v8. The guy said he has had it for about five years and said that it is very clean. He said it would be nice to get rid of it and only wants $500 obo for it. If anyone is interested let me know.

I personally did not see the motor as I only talked to him on the phone. I asked him if they had any sho motors and he said that they had a 98. He said the car was wrecked a long time ago and that the motor was clean inside. I asked if the cams were blown and he said no the motor is in great shape. He does not know the exact mileage but he said its low since he has had it for over five years. Sounded like he wanted to get rid of it, and was the first automotive guy of any type that I had ever encountered, who said that he would negotiate on the price right off the bat. I do not know very much about the v8's but don't these things go for thousands? That is why I posted it.

Just for reference I just paid 2K for a v8 with under 100K shipped to me. It was welded by Eric Leman, hope I spelled it right, out of chicago.

If it deesnt have a blown cam 500 is a steal, but a cam failed car for a grand swap the engine, and you have a sweet ride.
