I am about to sell this car for scrap metal im so frustrated with it:mad:. Just like the title says, crank no start. It seems to act up more in cold weather. New crank sensor, cam sensor, battery, alternator, no codes, no lights. It has fuel pressure. When it runs, its runs like a champ. But if you let it sit over a cold night, or sometimes for no apperent reason at all it just won't fire. I love this car, EVERYTHING works EXCEPT this one issue and i can't bring myself to let it go because i know its some stupid easy fix like a relay or something. Please help me! I know i cant be the only person out there whos V8SHO has had this happen. Any suggestions are appreciated.:)

Ok. I feel like a retard now because as i posted this i realized that when changing the alternator earlier this morning I forgot to hook up a 50 pin (approximately) elelctrical harness that i disconnected to make room to get to a bolt. I just hooked it back up and now its running. For now. It remains to be seen the new alt. and battery will solve my problem permenantly.
Sorry for wasting your time if you read this. Moderators feel free to delete my thread.

Im going to start the car twice daily and ill pst again if i still have troubles in a month or so. Sorry again.

The car was welded the same year I bought it about 5-6 years back. I live in Colorado Springs.
I've been starting the car daily since i got a new battery and alternator. I suspected the alternator when I jumped the car to take it for a bi-annual spin around the block, and the electrical systems died for a second or two then came back on. This happened twice durring my 15min drive. Next week I let it idle, disconnected the battery, sat in the car and the moment I pushed the climate control the whole car died.

The problem I described has been occuring for the last five years. It made it impossible for me to use it as a daily driver. I've kept it in hopes of fixing it, although for some reason it never occured to me to replace the primary parts of the electrical system, hence the batt & alt. So far so good.

My theory is that the alternator was intermitently failing, causing me occasionally run on battery power alone without knowing it. Then the next day, lack of charge on the battery wasn't supplying enough juice to the computer to engage spark to the cylinders, or not enough to run the coil packs. IDK. Im not a mechanic or technician. but those are my thoughts. I just have my fingers crossed so i can finally sell it.
