97 flash flood

My 97 just got flash flooded and now it wont start. Any ideas ?

You may want to pursue this thru your insurance company, seeing that it would be covered under flood insurance...


One thing's for sure. If enough water gets into the intake, it'll hydro-lock the engine.

In that case, it turns into an insurance claim.

its an insurance claim WELL before the water gets into the intake. and chances are if your car was flooded up to the throttle body, your not gonna bother sitting on your soaking wet drivers seat to try to start it anyways.

control units of all sorts are the first thing to die, along w/ switches, even if its in the engine bay and supposedly "water tight" because thats only for water SPRAY, full submersion is a different matter
