I was looking at the 96 brake upgrade kit from Midwest SHO, and it says you have to have steering knuckles from a 94-95 taurus/sable with ABS. So on my 89 which does not have ABS, do I have to have the axles for the ABS?

Thanks,

Rob

Not if they are the same length. I think you don't need them as the only difference should be the toothed ring used by the abs sensor.

If you don't have ABS, then you don't need knuckles with ABS. So in your case any 94-95 knuckle will work with or without ABS, but I think they all have the mount for the ABS sensor (i.e., it doesn't matter). Your drive shafts won't need to change, either.
