Hey everyone,
Before I get started, I just want to say thank you in advance for any help with this. The car is my friend's 1995 SHO, 3.2, automatic transmission with 98,*** miles on it.
Here's where it all started. My friend took the car to a shop for a Pennsylvania state inspection. While on the emissions dyno, the water pump started pouring coolant all over so the test was stopped. He then drove the car to another shop to replace the water pump.
After the water pump was replaced is when the no start began. The car would crank, but not start. It also doesn't crank smoothly and will abruptly stop (this has snapped the armatures on 2 starters).
We found out that if fuel is cut, using clear flood mode, the car cranks normally and will start. After that, the car runs ok when cold, but misfires as it warms up. The crank sensor and mass air flow sensor were tested and have good voltage signals. The crank sensor and DIS module were replaced on the advice of someone else at the shop and due to the coolant leaking on the crank sensor.
If anyone can help with this problem, it will be greatly appreciated. Thank you
