95 MTX cruise control

Trying to fix this. I've done lots of searching. Cruise stopped working while it was on on the fwy. wouldn't re-engage.

All vac lines look good, including under the dash. Servo looks intact, two halves are still together. No weird vac leak type engine behavior. Checked codes, no codes so vss is probably ok. No airbag lights flashing, and horn works, so believe the clock spring to be ok. Brake light switch works ok. Checked fuse for cruise, it's fine and all the brake light system is on the same circuit and works.

I since swapped steering wheels, and horn and airbag systems are still operational, but still no cruise. So don't think it is a button issue.

What next?

could be the vac lines to the actuator leak - that would not necessarily cause the engine to run like a vac leak existed.

also, the actuator could have just died.

I would swap a known could actuator servo in at this point.

This may be a stupid question, but is the cable still attached to the throttle body? Mine quit working once and did all this work just to find that the cable somehow fell off.
