94 MTX 125k just picked the car up and cant see excessive movement in the motor mounts while trying to brake torque it with the ebrake set. however while driving in any gear at any speeds, at throttle tip in(1/8th pedal) and when decelerating you get that herky jerky feeling like you forgot to push in the clutch coming to a stop when you first learned to drive stick. Kinda hoping its not a clutch issue since the guy claimed it was new.
thanks!

could be Cam sensor, Also check battery cables mine first was the battery cables coroaded on both sides and when put under load cut motor out, then it was the cam sensor..... others will prolly ask about crank sensor and or water pump leak shorting crank sensor... It sometimes is the stupidest *****....

no this isnt performance related, its like a drivetrain ****.. like enough to toss you forward and back in your seat, like riding with someone that doesnt know how to drive stick.

Also try wriggling the wires leading into the cam sensor. My 89 would periodically "jackrabbit" like you're describing... it was solved whith taping up the wire bundle leading into the cam sensor.

Can't pinpoint a clutch or manual tranny issue. The jerking or bucking I would look at is the IAC valve/sensor, MAF voltage, or maybe even a TPS.

thought of a better way to explain it... more of like a clunk when driving a rwd drive car that has developed slop in the rear end.. where you get a clunk while letting off the gas or applying the gas... car runs like a ***** ape.. i dont think its sensor related..feels drivetrain.

A clunk like physical movement sounds like stated above. Motor mounts, loose subframe, or other drivetrain loose hard parts.

How does the intake manifold and/or hood pad look? If there is excess movement you will often see spots on the top of the intake manifold that are rubbing against the hood.

I'm voting completely separated motor mounts, I just reinforced mine a month or so ago and had this EXACT issue. Dude fix your your MM's they're more than likely the issue...

Look to the right of the SHO on the Intake, if yours looks like that you know it is the MM's...
