i jus recently bought a 94 atx with 70k miles, car runs perfect except for the fact that it gives me problems starting at normal operating temperature. it sound likes it wants to start but wont until ive been trying for a few minutes. i already replaced the ignition coil, wires, plugs, ignition modules and fuel filter (all parts were new taken from my other 94 atx). also when it finally does start it sounds like a very bad misfire from the cylinders and turns off unless im flooring the throttle. im thinking it has to be a sensor or something because i have no misfires or anything else when the cars on.

any ideas?

Pull the codes and let us know what they are. see shotimes.com if you need details on that.

There are a number of common issues that cause those symptoms, so codes are important to save you from throwing money at it.

Mine will do this too once in a great while. I've narrowed mine down to these.

Bad wire in the harness for the Crank position sensor.
Bad ground on DIS module( I'm taking care of that before I reinstall my intake)
Bad cam shaft sensor(It is the same one the car had when I first saw it)

I would check all of those things first.

Mine will do it hot or cold, but hardly ever. To get it to run all i do is jiggle all my wires like a lunatic and it will fire right up (usually with no rpm gauge) and I get the car moving again before it stalls out and then the need will jump up to whatever rpm is at.
