Did some searching and found a lot of threads... Too bad I cant open them. :nut:

So I know that I need to use the 3.0 acc. system as well as the 3.0 subframe and motor mounts. Because I am using the 3.0 acc system, that means I also need to use the 3.0 wire harness, right? What is this I hear about using the 3.0 oil pan/pick up tube?

FWIW, the 94 3.2 will be going in my 95 MTX. I am pretty sure that the wire issues will be minimal seeing that the 94/95 SHOs seem to share a lot of the same wiring.

Any modifications or adjustments I should be ready for while I do this swap? Chances are that I will be about 3 hours away from home doing this project so it is important that I get the swap done quick and easily.

Oilpan is needed to fit the subframe/ MTX motor mounts i believe. you do use 3.0 wiring harness it think as well.

In short, all you need for the 3.2L is the short block. You'll swap everything over from the 3L.

Easiest to use the 3.0 wiring, then there are no other wiring issues to be concerned about.

You need 3.2 head gaskets on the 3.2 block, regardless of heads.

You will want to use the 3.0 oil pump also, along w/ the accessory drive.

Why cant I use the 3.2 oil pump? That would save me some money if i could as i would not have to purchase that gasket set. :)

IIRC, you can use it. There will be a gap in the timing cover. I think Scott used his at one point until he filled it with spun rod bearing shavings.

If needed, I have a 24k oil pump I've been meaning to get rid of.

You can, but there is some modification that is required. iirc, in addition to the gap that Jason mentioned, you need to do some grinding to make the pan fit or something like that.

No grinding necesary. You only need to fill a 1 1/2 X 3 inch section from the oil pump to timing cover. I used a small piece of sheet metal that I formed and fastened with small nuts and bolts (from my remote control cars).

The 3.2 oil pump has a little more volume than the 3.0 pump. It's much easier to use the 3.0 pump, as no modifications are necessary. I have done the 3.2 swap both ways. I used the 3.2 pump for my street SHO, and the 3.0 pump in the modded 91+.:p

What is this I hear about using the 3.0 oil pan/pick up tube?

The 3.2 oil pan has two issue, both not all that big, but it does make the 3.0 pan a better choice. With the 3.2 pan one of the pan-to-tranny bolt holes doesn't line up right and the oil level sensor swaps sides, which requires some rework of the wiring harness. Avoid both issues by using the 3.0 pan.

FWIW, the 94 3.2 will be going in my 95 MTX. I am pretty sure that the wire issues will be minimal seeing that the 94/95 SHOs seem to share a lot of the same wiring.

As previously mentioned, using the 3.2 short block and the accessories/wiring from the 3.0 avoids all that, AND you'll get the more desirable 3.0 intake cams in the 3.0 heads.

Why cant I use the 3.2 oil pump? That would save me some money if i could as i would not have to purchase that gasket set. :)

The 3.2 oil pump also has a bit higher pumping capacity than the 3.0 pump, so it's more desirable to use. The little bit of rework in the timing cover is not that big of a deal (I think some people have even just left that gap open, but IMHO covering it is a bit safer).
