94 3.0 engine whine?!

anyone come across this before? At idle and through the rpms, the motor sounds healthy all but this awful whining, at first I thought it was the cold air intake I had bought the car with, but I hunted down a stock airbox and swapped it on, to no avail. The thing still makes this crazy whine. Here's a link to someone elses car on youtube that sounds just like it. I'd love to hear some opinions. thanks

That's either a bad bearing on one of the pulleys or it's a power steering pump that has air in it.

Get a cheap mechanic's stethoscope (or the "make-do equivalent") and locate the exact source of the noise.
