Hello all! Im new to this forum and rather new to SHOs as well.
Im about to buy a 1993 SHO automatic for around $600 with a bad transmission.
The current (original) owner of this car describes the issue as "It starts, and shifts in and out of gear, but once the oil warms up it wont take any gear but park." He also mentioned his mechanic says it might be the torque converter.
What im wondering is whether or not i can put a transmission in it from a normal taurus se or if the transmission HAS to come from a SHO. According to wiki 93SHOs have AX4S and so do normal Tauruses? Thanks in advance.
