Not that Im using the heat right now but would a bad AC compressor cause the car to stall everytime I turn the heat on. If the car is not at idle it is fine but when you let off the gas she dies.

Thanks in advance for the advice

So now it doesn't quite stall when the heat ( not defrost) is turned on but the idle drops very low and fluctuates? Could this be a poor alternator?

I'm thinking your battery is weak and your Alt isn't charging right... I'm almost positive it's in the charging system though...

Well battery is brand new so it looks like the signs point to the alternator. Think the next step is to yank it off and have it tested.

you need to start by resetting the idle. Disconnect the battery for 2 minutes, then reconnect....start it up...then let it idle for 30 to 45 seconds. Then turn on all the accessories (lights rear defog, a/c, everything). Then turn the wheel 1/2 turn in each direction. Shut all the accessories off and let it idle for about 5 minutes. Take it for a spin and see what happens.
