So I just purchasedan a 93 3.2 atx. Has 140000kms new rebuilt Trans at 134000ks now that was in 2012 car was only summer driven on weekendsome in summer. So engine codes. Current code is an egr. Previous stored codes egr, and vast fault. Now Carlsson has some exhaust work needed. Otherwise runs amazing!. As for the shifting it will shift way too early and will not down shift when you get on it. Does not slip just pulls with out downshifting. Also at about 1200rpm 50-60kmhr it will hard down shift and her kids the car. Also slow down to turn a corner and when you get back to the gas it's like it's in neutral again not sliding just nothing give it a second to find a gear and it good. Also cruise does not work. Fluid is good. Now I know all text syme Tom's point to the vast being faulty does this make sense to everone?? Driven nicely so I cannot see Trans being junk in 5000kms... thanks and any help appreciated!! DI'd 400km trip from were I bought it cruises like a brand new car hills no issue etc just erratic shift points

Hello & welcome, I assume you are in Canada, given the kms reference? Not sure I understand fully what is going on with your SHO. But usually with an EGR fault, the resolution is to a) clean the EGR "nostrils", b) replace the DPFE sensor, or c) both.

What codes exactly are/were you getting? Multiple codes could include some "false" or non-relevant codes.

Cruise control - was the recall kit ever installed? How is the braking? Have you checked the vacuum hoses related to the brake booster? Sometimes you can get help identifying the location by the presence of a "hissing" sound. Vaccum leaks can lead to a wide array of symptoms.

So i reset the codes and performed a koer test got 326 code for egr not getting enough pressure or not seating properly. Meaning? Needs cleaning or?.
Now that i have reset the shstem i will go for a drive and see ic any othrr codes return related to vss etc. And update.

Generic codes but they match sho ones. After a short drive the 335 and 332 came back for egr issues. Il get that reppaced or cleaned. And then bam vss 452 back again so im almost positive my shifting issue is from the vss.il swap that out and see what happens.

So you are saying that codes 326,335 listed in that thread did not occur here?

the cruise could not work due to: bad cruise module, bad cruise wiring, bad switches on the steering wheel, etc.
