Well I replaced my VSS, boy was that fun grrrr... "FORD A Better Idea" NOT Any way I replaced my VSS and it cleared all my codes I was getting but my tranny problem still exsit's. When the car heats up Normal opperating temp everything shifts fine and down shifts fine until I come to a compleate stop and it acts like it is stuck in 2nd or stuck between 1st and 2nd then as you start to pull away it slams into 1st and you can go, and when I say slams, it feels like you have just been rearended. If I shift into D2 and take off it is fine and if I turn my OverDrive OFF it goes down into 1st and work just fine. Again I am getting 111 for KOER & KOEO. So any insite from anyone would be great!!! Thanks

Did you determine if the BOO error code you were getting was due to your KOER procedures, or if in fact the BOO switch was bad? If the BOO switch is bad, it can cause torque converter lockup problems which might explain the problems you're still having. If the BOO is good, then, well, I don't think you want to know...

I seem to recall you saying in a previous post that you had gotten a 536 code for the BOO (or brake on-off) switch during a KOER. Usually that's caused by not hitting the brake in time during the test. If you're not getting any codes and your brake lights and cruise disengage are working, then it's probably OK.

Where you've changed the VSS, and presuming the BOO switch is good, you've about exhausted the 'cheap' options. The problems you describe can be a number of different things, all (unfortunately) expen$ive.

My recommendation would be to take the car to 2-3 tranny shops just to get a free diagnosis and compare what they all say. If they all say the same thing, then you know what you have to do. If you feel like paying a few bucks to have one of them flush & fill the tranny fluid and inspect it for junk, that might help the diagnosis.
