Well my ATX needs a new subframe, it's pretty banged up. Anyways I thought while I was in there I'd try to **** myself by doing a MTX swap.. Anyone with info on swapping an MTX in? Can I do it and keep most of the ATX parts such as the accessories? I'm already looking for a MTX subframe, and I have a rodshifter and MTV-IV, and a bunch of 3.0s with full accessories and brackets/motormounts just waiting to be robbed.

has anyone done this swap before that can give me some advice? I know I'll have to cut my new dynomax a little to clear the rod shifter but I think it'll be worth it.

I did it a few weeks ago, do a search under my user name and you'll see a post that goes into some detail. I'm working out some things on it, on top of work an all, and haven't gotten around to posting up pics of how I did the swap. But in a nutshell I managed to keep all of the 3.2 and wiring in tact. Sorry for such a vague post here but I gotta get back to work...

Do a search, it's been done several times now a few different ways.

You can search my posts as well, I did it on a track car.

I read both your swaps.. it's not lookin' good for me, I just wanted a bolt in swap. I guess I'll be doing a complete engine/trans/subframe swap. That seems easier and all my 3.0s have less miles then my 170K 3.2 :bonk:
