I have a 93 ATX w/140K miles. Started knocking real bad, so had it towed to mechanic. Mechaninc says its a thrown rod and that it would be chepaer to replace the engine than to rebuild it. Does anyone know a good mechanic in San Antonio or know of a good source for used SHO engine? Thanks.

I have a motor out of a 93 for sale...you would have to arrange for pickup, but as of right now it has had its 60k service done to it already.

$300 and you pick up or arrange for delivery...

Are we talking about a 3.2?

Yes...

After consulting with others the new price for the 3.2L with the 60k already done is $500..

Flame all you want...but I don't wanna get screwed anymore than the next guy..

This will be minus intake and valve covers however...all other sensors etc..are either replaced after the 60k or with the 60k

Just a warning..the motor does need to have rod bearings redone..I can hear it tiking in the oil pan area..

I might sell if I can't get car going. Everything else on it works and looks great. Bought new Yokohama tires about 1,000 miles ago. would be great buy for someone who knows how to do the repairs on their own.

Price..that is the tough part. I LOVE this car, but I know I have to take the emotions out of this. In the last year I have spent a little over $2,000 in repairs to include new battery, alternator, water pump, belt, tranny flush, tune up,spark plugs, pully, alarm and tires. The A/C blows cold. Has a Blaupunkt CD/MP3 player. She is white, with white slicers, with black interior. If I could get what I invested ($2,000)back I would be happy, but I would consider all reasonable offers. I am sure that someone with mechanical skills would get a great deal.

You get your money back in enjoying driving the SHO, and the dirt cheap car insurance.

I bought blue92 a year ago for $1000. and the put $4000. into it. For 5 grand I have a car that has more options than most new cars for a hole lot less money, not to mention much faster, plus a 5 star crash rating, and one **** of a sleeper

I have a 95 ATX that is really nice, runs and looks great with <130K miles, and I can't even get 3 grand for it. Good luck to you!

Damn, i already own 2 white SHO's... if it were a standard id take it off our hands. IF you still want a SHO, i know of a REAL clean white MTX with leather interioir. Its a 95, all options, not a scratch on the car. I think they want 3 grand for it?? Its over here on the northeast side of san antonio. if your interested PM me, maybe we can hook up and ill take u there or something. It wont last long, i will probably buy it within the nxt 2 monthes as soon as i get this 90 paid off.
