92 SHO MTX idling problems with EATC in auto

Hello everybody,
When I turn on my EATC to the automatic mode, my car suddenly drops down about 400 RPMs and nearly dies only about 10 seconds later to return to normal, and then drop down again. Any ideas? The EATC is set at 75 degrees, and it was about 55 outside, if that helps.

no, but I just replaced the radiator, and the battery was disconnected for a few days......
