914-SHO Ground Circuit Tests - Not good

It's #19 that has me bugged, as it shouldn't see ground on the plus side of the FP circuit unless the FP were on. Gonna tackle that one tomorrow - I hope.

I think that reasoning is not right. As an example, you will see ground on the hot side of a light bulb. How is that possible? If the ground side of your fuel pump is hooked to ground, you will have a path to ground from the positive side. You have to, that is how it works. As soon as you supply +12 volts to the hot side, the device will do its work.

I think you're over analyzing things.

OK, working on #30 CPP - this circuit goes to numerous sensors (via GY/R wire) when the switch is closed, but mine was open.

I just noticed that this switch, which I am using, has two roles as shown on EVTM 24-4 & 20-1. I have mine wired up correctly for 20-1, but it looks like I have it backward for 24-4.

For 24-4 the input side of the switch is supposed to get P/Y (from PCM #30) & the output is supposed to go to GY/RD & PCM #46. I have it flipped. Duh!

Yeh, I can get into that mode sometimes. And you're right - I pulled the ground connector off the FP and retested at the PCM connector and no signal for ground on the positive side. I was thinking that the motor didn't complete the circuit until it got 12V - my bad.

OK, with the issue on #30 resolved and wiring corrected, once I get the new FP regulator in I'm ready for another test start.
