89 starter prob helllppp!!!!

So, I changed the starter on the car with a used one from bittersweetsho, which when tested worked fine, and now the starter just spins. took it down, and it barely turned the engine over. I bumped it twice and then it just spun again. I got under and tapped it, it started to turn the engine, but then just spun again.
The issue with the old starter was that, and I found out after taking it off, it would grind. It got the point of not starting until after the second or third try. Also, the teeth on the old starter were non existant. Gone. Almost completely gone. I need help with this ASPA! HELPPPP HHHHEEEELLPPPP!!!!!!!! I need my beloved SHO!!!!!

maby the starter drive is nfg or maby now the ring gear is also bad?

turns out to be the starter. Goty a rebuilt one from my parts place and walaa! thanks again
