I'm considering selling our very nice 1989 SHO to gather the funds to pick up a SVO Mustang. I love the car but I really do want a SVO. If the 89 Does not sell, Oh well!

1989 Light Titanium Taurus SHO.
195,000 Miles.

The Good:

Purchased from the Original owner in January.
MANY Maintenance receipts going back to the early 90's.
Nearly perfect Interior.
Cold A/C!
60k, 120k and 180K All performed.
Hardly any Rattles.
Runs PERFECT.
New Alternator in the last 1,000 Miles.
New Battery in the Last 1,000 Miles.
New Windshield in the Last 1,000 Miles.
New Auto-lite 3924 plugs With Taylor 8.2mm Wires (Very cheap wires were used during the 60k, One went out)

Mods:
Tokico Struts.
FPS Stainless Steel Y-Pipe.
Borla Stainless Steel Exhaust.
Police Grill.

The Bad:
Bypassed Heater core for suspected Leak.
Very VERY small amount of Rust forming on Taillight Seem.
Surface rust forming on Dog legs.

I'm asking 3200 Dollars.

I should also mention that I am pretty Firm on the price. Yes the Mileage is High, Yes the VERY minor rust might be a Turn off...But as a whole I don't think you are going to find a more nice of a car without buying something that has a whole lot less Mileage for a whole lot more coin.

This car truely is a Joy to Drive.

No, thats a pretty good deal. What wheels are the 17's btw. And what exactly would come with the brake kit.

The Brake kit is sort of Imcomplete. It has Rotors (12.2''), Modified Gen 1 Knuckles, Brackets, FSL Calipers. It needs Brake lines and Pads to be complete and honestly the Rotors are not in the best of shape. For about 250Dollars, You can have new Rotors, Pads and SS Brake lines from Todd. Considering its a 1200 dollar kit new from Todd and that I just bought it For 600 Dollars this year.. Its a pretty good deal. :)

The 17's are TBD. It can either be a set of Enkei OR52's or TSW Hockenheim R's, However I would rather keep the Hockenheim R's for myself.

Ok everyone, Here are some pictures of the cars "Trouble Area's".

I also Forgot to mention the paint on the Mirrors is about done. The clear coat has peeled off...an easy fix in my opinion...but its "something else" of course.

Tailight Seem:

Passenger Side:

Driver Side:

Mirror (Similar on passenger side)

Weight019

And that is it. Everything else on the car is normal wear and tear for being 21 years old. However, You would be hard pressed to find a ding or dent on this car (Not saying they are not there but you have to look VERY hard). I would say the worst part is the rock chips on the hood that are still not very noticeable. If you have anymore questions please let me know.

An SVO mustang, what year are you thinking? I'm actually kinda surprised and for a second thought you meant svt mustang. I've got a thing for the fwd Shelby Dodge cars of the same time frame....have you looked into any of those, or did you have your heart set on rear drive? For what it's worth I like those mustang svo's too, but think the thunderbird turbo coupe with the same motor was pretty cool too, like the 88.

I hate to sit here and bump it but I want to make sure there are no interested parties here before I post the car on craigslist. I would RATHER NOT do that. However I'm still wanting an SVO.

Ok Folks, Car is on the market for another 2 weeks as is. If it does not sell after that, I install the wheels and tires, Put the Brakes on it and fix every little nuance and the price goes way up.
